Robert van der Lans
Founder / Director
Robert van der Lans is the founder and director of Horti XS. With a background in cultivation, agricultural business administration and an MBA from Nyenrode Business University, he combines practical growing experience with commercial and strategic knowledge of the international horticultural sector.
Robert started his career as a grower and entrepreneur, and later built broad experience in floriculture, international sales, greenhouse technology and project development. Based on this experience, he founded Horti XS with the aim of developing, supplying and realizing high-quality horticultural projects for professional growers and investors worldwide.
Within Horti XS, Robert is closely involved in commercial development, contract negotiations, project strategy and international client relations. He is known for his direct, no-nonsense approach, his broad technical understanding and his ability to organize complex projects in a practical and result-oriented way.
His strength lies in connecting cultivation, technology, finance and execution. This enables him to advise clients not only on the greenhouse or technical installation itself, but also on the feasibility, phasing, risks and long-term value of a project.
With Horti XS, Robert aims to contribute to sustainable, efficient and future-proof horticultural projects where technology, entrepreneurship and practical execution come together.
