ATC From Cannabis to tomato greenhouse transformation
ATC From Cannabis to tomato greenhouse transformation
Strategic greenhouse conversion project adapting controlled cannabis infrastructure for large scale tomato production.

Objective and Background
This project in South Carolina focused on transforming an existing cannabis greenhouse facility into a modern tomato production greenhouse. While both cultivation types require controlled environments, tomato production operates with completely different climate strategies, workflows, and cultivation requirements. The project was developed to adapt the existing infrastructure into an efficient and commercially viable tomato production facility.

Key Challenges
One of the biggest challenges was reconfiguring systems originally designed for cannabis cultivation into an environment optimized for high wire tomato production. Climate settings, irrigation strategies, environmental controls, and operational layouts all needed to be adjusted to support large scale vegetable cultivation. The project also required balancing speed, efficiency, and practical reuse of the existing infrastructure wherever possible.
